		<description><![CDATA[Don, I agree, however consultants usually have more experience and people skills, i.e. they are less likely to waste time on tons of documentation and more likely to go talk to the right person. And they are probably more assertive than usual new hires / college graduates, otherwise they would not be consultants. And, it is just my impression and it might be wrong, the consultants have to do less corporate stuff, not directly related to work (like running a test on what are the IBMer&#039;s &quot;core competencies&quot; where you have to list them, etc.) Therefore less time is wasted.]]></description>

It also seems like it could be applied to a consultant coming into a company for the first time - expected to know a lot, not getting the documentation that would help, and not having the luxury of a mentor.]]></description>
