A new record for 2010 Blogging Idol was set yesterday with just shy of 1,7000 pageviews for the day. This brings the total so far to:  10, 918.  Also now is also the time that new blogs / websites begin to generate steam by having repeat users, a good historical average pageview count to start from as well as more credibility with search engines and everyday users.

Also since last week we have had 6 new bloggers join the contest.

We now have a total of 22 contestants but a lot of them have some goose eggs in the post count column, I don’t think that Simon Cowell would be very impressed with them.

Other then that things are going pretty smoothly and we have had some great post so keep it comming.

As your admin should disclose  the fact that this Thursday I will be boarding my “Skyservice” turned air transat flight (That was scary for a but there) to the Dominican for a week in the sun and sand while fullfilling my brotherly duty as his best man.

I will be back next friday so if anybody wants any configuration changes or has any technical questions; Speak now or forever hold your peace.

    I asked these two questions in a comment to your post of March 26, but got no answer. Incidentally, this issue is related to one of my questions. I will repeat them here.
    ============
    2 questions

    1. Is there a way to see statistics on individual posts or bloggers?

    2. Can I turn on email notifications for when someone comments on my posts? I searched for the way to do that but could not find any.

    You should have access to StatPress at the bottom of the menu in the admin area.

    This will give you stats on the overall site as well as individual posts. Unfortunately it does not segment by author but you can use the posts stats for estimation.

    For this contest we have email comment alerts disabled but their are RSS feeds for comments that update automaticallty

    Ex:

    Hope that helps…

    I know about StatPress, but I don’t see any statistics on posts except for “Last hits” which is not exactly what I am looking for.
