Ok.  You caught me rushing to post something/anything during a TV commercial………

Just occurred to me – who thinks that watching TV on your PC/phone/watch is better than the nice big screens we have nowadays?  Everything has a purpose, don’t you think?

I had a nice evening, with a friend, sitting on a balcony watching the CN Tower pretending to be a rainbow, watching a few flashes of fireworks in the distance, and being thankful there were no clouds around!!  And no tablet to check on BlogIdol while I’m sitting there!

Sometimes I think that we need to take a break from the technology whirlwind.  Sit back and smell the roses.  Enjoy the moment.  I will be sad when they add olfactory senses to our systems – after all, who wants a smelly iphone??

Blogging Idol is soon ending, but it really does point out something great – we all have interesting points of view, we all can express our views in ways that others can understand, and we all feel its worth it to let others be part of our world.  This might be the best thing about blogs……its a way to express your feeligs, interests, opinions, and observations so that others can be part of your world.

Over the past month or so, I have heard the ideas and views of several people during this contest (more towards the end, too).  I would never have had the pleasure if it weren’t for Blogging Idol.  I’m hoping we will all continue the tradition started by Blog Idol (even you too Chris, even if you are a judge) and keep on trucking/blogging!

I'm a Blogging Idol enthusiast who also does consulting for a living. I began my career as a railway data communications engineer. After working for a bank for 7 years, I took up the consulting challenge and I still find it challenging! I try to keep in touch with a lot of different I&IT topics but I'm usually working in areas that involve service management and procurement. I'm back into ISO standards development - in the area of cloud computing (ISO JTC1/SC38). I'm starting to get more interested in networking history, so I guess I'm starting to look backwards as well as forwards! My homepage is http://www.concon.com

The mobile carriers would like very much for consumers to prefer to watch on their phone, on the go. it’s all about that monthly data plan fee!!

It is still better to watch on a tv, but if you can “sell” the idea of being “free” to watch anywhere, isn’t that appealing?

The irony is that you, the consumer, are not “free” from technology so long as your eyes stare at the device. So I agree with your point on how nice it is not to be tied to technology.
